Glide's compatibility engine then serves up files in the proper format and bit rate for access on various devices and for easy sharing. Mac users can sign up for a free Glide account at http://www.glidedigital.com/ on their Macs or on their cell phones at http://www.glidemobile.com/. A list of compatible phones can be found here. Glide launched Version 2.0 (beta) of its suite of hosted applications in December 2006, billing it as "elevat[ing] software as a service to the next logical step; full-featured web based applications that rival the power of local desktop applications and at a significantly lower price point." version 2.0 of Glide comprised: an Online Photo Editor & Print Shop; Glide Write; Glide Presenter Glide Spreadsheet beta supporting advanced formulas and macros was scheduled for release, January 2007.
