E3: More Guitar Hero 3 details plucked

The Guitar Hero news just keeps rolling out, this time from the E3 show in California. Activision reveals some detail of next iteration of the popular franchise Guitar Hero III

Coming to PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and excitingly the Nintendo Wii is Guitar Hero III, now more accurately known as Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Being developed by Neversoft, Guitar Hero III will ultimately be competing with the likes of Harmonix’s (original Guitar Hero developer) Rock Band. Accordingly Activision have stated that a multiplayer action-inspired battle mode and a bunch of unlockable and downloadable content will be a focus of this release.

Activision were anxious to point out that they are getting into bed with the major labels ; "all the major and independent record labels and music publishers to allow unrivaled access to their deep history of music catalogs."
