Vodafone offers new Blackberry E-mail

Vodafone has become the first carrier in Australia to announce availability off new BlackBerry 8700 on its network.

The new Blackberry, released today in Australia, is based on an Intel 312Mhz processor and comes with a QWERTY keyboard and mobile email.

The Vodafone version, dubbed the 8700v is claimed to be "exclusive to Vodafone in look, feel and graphic user interface." It also comes with 64MB flash memory; high resolution colour LCD display, and Bluetooth v2.0, polyphonic and MP3 ring tones and a light-sensing technology that automatically adjusts screen and keyboard lighting levels

It has a claimed battery life of up to 16 days standby and four hours talk time, and will be available from 1 March at an RRP of $799 inc GST from Vodafone's business sales channels (Vodafone core stores and resellers including Ingram Micro, Red Mercury and Mobiletronics)
