Apple Computer may have to recork its champagne bottles and put them on ice once again because Apple Corps, owned by surviving members of the The Beatles and their families, has reportedly not given up the fight and intends to appeal the High Court decision which handed victory to the computer company.

The dispute, as the whole world now knows is about Apple Computer using its trademark in connection with its online music store iTunes. An agreement reached between the two companies in 1991 stipulated that Apple Computer would not its trademark in connection with the music industry. However, Apple Computer contended that the agreement did not cover online music and digital downloads, which did not exist when the the agreement was struck.

If Apple Corps wins the appeal, Apple Computer will be up for significant damages plus legal costs. {moscomment}
