Coming to nex-gen consoles, PS2, PSP and DS this November, Lucas Arts announces the newest in the Star Wars saga.

A new website has launched proclaiming this latest installment of George's greatest creation. Coming to next-gen consoles (It is unclear if this means all consoles; PS3, Xbox 360, perhaps the Wii) as well as versions for PS2, PSP and Nintendo DS

Taking the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice, players will be tasked with filling some of the gaps between Episode III (the last movie made) and Episode IV (the first movie made). And it is all about the Force.

Lucas Arts is promising a unique level of immersion.  Utilising the Havok physics engine in conjunction with newly developed technologies: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM), by Pixelux Entertainment, and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd.

DMM provides realistic interaction with the environment, promising damage effects dependent on the physical materials involved. So wood will shatter, concrete will chip and so on.  Euphoria is a massive extension of rag doll physics that will give characters more personality than ever before. Adapting their behaviour as the environment changes about them.

Both of these features have been announced by Lucas Arts in the past, for the forthcoming Indiana Jones game.

But this is Star Wars.  Some of the other features Lucas Arts is touting for this release are;

* Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
* Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:
* The Secret Apprentice won't just Force push enemies into walls - he'll Force push enemies through walls.
* The Secret Apprentice won't just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he'll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
* In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.
* Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld  Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.
*  Decisions made by players throughout the game will determine the path of the story, including multiple endings that will rock Star Wars continuity as they know it.
