TPG Mobile: 7GB data plus unlimited calls, text for $19.99, six months only

TPG Mobile is running yet another of its special deals for its TPG Mobile service, but it’s only available if you’ve never been a TPG Mobile customer.

Every few months, TPG offers its Internet customers a special deal for TPG Mobile, but the secret is that anyone can take TPG up on the offer.

As is often the case with special deals from many telcos, they apply only to new customers, so if you’re already a TPG Mobile customer, your loyalty plays no part in qualifying for this deal.

There are several plans on offer, but the headline plans are the ones delivering unlimited calls and text, with a set amount of data.

The big headline plan delivers 7GB of data, with unlimited calls and text, for $19.99 per month, for a six-month period only.

You also get 100 international minutes in the deal.

So, the deal only being available for six months, after which the price reverts to $34.99, is the first catch, with the second being that the first minimum charge is actually $29.99.

Still, the deal is one with no lock-in contract, so you could use TPG Mobile as much as TPG Mobile wants to use you, and then port out to someone else’s better offer should one appeal to you at the time.

The other two headline deals are 3GB per month with the same calling and text inclusions as above, but for only $15 per month for the first six months (with the first charge being a minimum of $25), then charging to $29.99 per month thereafter.

The third headline deal gives you 10GB of data with the same calling and text inclusions, with a minimum charge of $34.99 in the first month and $39.99 per month after the six-month period is up.

The grid of new plans is below.

Whether TPG’s deals are really enough to tempt you away from Vaya, Kogan Mobile, Boost, Amaysim or anyone else is something you’ll have to decide for yourself, but it is the newest phone deal on the market.
