Kogan Mobile offering double mobile broadband data in September at 'no extra cost'

Competition for a telco is an everyday thing, as are moves by your competitors, with Kogan Mobile doing a deal for those who rely on mobile broadband to stay connected.

Aussies looking for flexible Internet while on-the-go are turning to mobile broadband – and it’s not a new phenomenon by any means, but mobile broadband has never been faster or more affordable than it is today.

Kogan Mobile backs this up by stating that mobile broadband was “once a service reserved for people working away from the office or staying overnight on a business trip,” but analysis from ACMA in 2016 shows that 6.04 million Aussies are now using it for everyday data access – and that ACMA stat is already well over a year old, suggesting even more mobile broadband users are out there.

Again, Kogan Mobile backs this up by stating that, “in just the last year, wireless broadband downloads have increased by 24%".

Naturally, Kogan Mobile is never one to miss an opportunity to suggest its services are perfectly suited to your needs, proudly and boldly stating that customers requiring “accessible broadband now have more reason than ever to switch to Kogan Mobile Broadband on the Vodafone 4G network".

As you’d expect, this involves a special promotion, whereby for the month of September, “Kogan Mobile is giving new and existing customers who activate, recharge or purchase one of its 30-day 4G broadband plans, double data at no extra cost,” with more on the plans here

Bonus data has a 30 day expiry and is subject to the same limitations and conditions as the data inclusions of your plan or recharge – see www.koganmobile.com.au/legal/plan-details/ for details.”

“Offer subject to change. Not transferrable and not redeemable for cash. Not available for commercial or resale purposes. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers. Limit 1 per customer. 4G is available in selected areas in Australia with an active prepaid recharge and a 4G device. See koganmobile.com.au/coverage.”

RECOVERING FROM RANSOMWARE

Ransomware is a type of malware that blocks access to your files and systems until you pay a ransom.

The first example of ransomware happened on September 5, 2013, when Cryptolocker was unleashed.

It quickly affected many systems with hackers requiring users to pay money for the decryption keys.

Find out how one company used backup and cloud storage software to protect their company’s PCs and recovered all of their systems after a ransomware strike.
